I’m about as discouraged as a red-headed cocker spaniel with “heavy ears” can be…they still HURT! Today she took a different approach with me. She waited till Dodi got here cause she knows I JUST LOVE THAT GIRL and she had Dodi put the muzzle over my mouth so she could get the new drops in my ears. Then she rubs and caresses my ears for a while to make the medicine go down deep in my canals. She’s hopin those clumps of wax will break up and come out so I won’t have to have any surgery…I hope so too! I didn’t mind the muzzle too bad cause I just looked Miss Dodi right in the eye and she’s so pretty I just hung on to that! Then they put me in the kennel “to rest.” I did throw up just a little on my little pillow so ya know that means MORE LAUNDRY.

Ashton and her friend, Maddie came along too. So the four of them went to the Olive Garden for lunch but the wait was goin to be 35-40 minutes. Ya know kids—they didn’t want to wait so they went to Panera Bread and that’s always a good place too. Mamaw said she had soup and half a sandwich and they put onion on it—she didn’t see it—she ate it and HAS A TERRIBLE TUMMY ACHE! Poor Poppy—neither one of us put together makes one good one today.

Since Mamaw didn’t feel good she didn’t cook—Poppy did his own thing. I wasn’t very hungry myself today. I kept goin in and out of the kennel and then I’d beg Mamaw to go to the waterbed so finally she grabbed her e-reader and told Poppy she was givin in to me. We got back to bed and she read a little bit and then said, “Oh crap—only ten pages left to read and I’m afraid my charge will be up before then.” So she took her book and got her charger out and will just have ta wait to finish the book. Instead—we cuddled—and I’m hopin to feel better tomorrow—how bout you Mamaw—want to feel better tomorrow?

Poppy slipped into bed and disturbed her so she took me to my kennel. Aw shucks—I was hopin against hope…
