Oh. Oh, Mamaw and Poppy are both cough in like crazy again! She said maybe it wasn’t a good idea they went out. They stayed in bed and just listened to television while I had to wait for someone to fetch me. I think they were cuddlin each other or somethin.

But Poppy is that workin guy—AGAIN! And Mamaw said she’d just as soon stay home and do nutin Honey…which is just what she did. That big paper takes her half a day to read and I gotta have some attention too! I was kinda lonely cause I didn’t see Ozzie all day and I get in trouble when I try to read the paper with Mamaw.

She got caught on the phone for a big portion of the day too. And Poppy had those darned handkerchiefs that needed bleached again so she put bleach and soap in the sink the soaked em—she says that way she bleaches the sink too. It kinda smells bad when she does that so she lights a candle.

When Poppy came home I ran—did ya hear me?—I RAN TO THE COUCH AND SPREAD MY LEGS! “Come er Poppy—do a belly rub,” I told him. I love that. And Mamaw comes over and sits down and rubs me under my chin—I love that too!

Mamaw fixed pizza for supper…oh, oh—she got the wrong kind! Oh no Poppy—can ya even eat the stuff? If ya can’t, can I have it? Poppy said he would strip off what he didn’t want and we’d make do…darn it. She bought a Supreme instead of Pepperoni. Well, they managed to get it down and put the leftover in the fridge cause I didn’t get a single taste of it. Ya know what though? I got 4 little pieces of celery. Mamaw says a little veggie helps keep my bowels in good shape. I noticed she’s measuring my food again—and Poppy is kinda makin noises that I just MIGHT be gainin a teeny bit too much weight. I hope they don’t begin to starve me—it might change my mind about how much I’m likin it here…

The noses were runnin like crazy and Mamaw wanted to watch a special movie so we went to the waterbed. We watched The Lost Valentine with Betty White. It was so good and at the end Mamaw just cried and cried. I couldn’t tell if she was happy or sad…cause later she put the gate up and I stayed with My Poppy.
