Things aren’t so good this morning…Poppy woke up with a terrible sore throat AND HAS TO WORK TODAY AND TOMORROW…Mamaw isn’t sure he’s gonna be able to make it. We’ll see.

The weatherman said we got 7 ½ inches of snow in West Des Moines. You can sure tell it too! I just don’t like it as much this year as I did last year but I do so like to stick my nose in it every time I go out. What I don’t like is all the traffic around our house and the noise they make.

She finally just had to get out to run some errands today. Jessie is goin to take care of Ozzie cause when Mamaw fell yesterday, she hurt herself. Oh not bad—but she is definitely sore, sore, sore. She can hardly move around and had to lie down for an hour she hurt so bad. She said even Tylenol wasn’t helping her…

She went back to Office Max about the “goofed-up project” and got that ironed out. She said she was real good about it and didn’t blow up or anything. The man at Office Max was grateful to her for kinda understandin he said. And she stopped to get potting soil and brought home a funny lookin plant called Bamboo, it’s supposed to be a “good luck” kind of thing. We’ll see about that!

At least the errands are finished and she’s back home…workin at the computer—click, click, click and I asked her what she was doin, she said, “I’m putting each one of the chapters of A DAY IN THE LIFE OF SCARLETT O’HARA together so I can go online and apply for copyright.” I just knew she was gonna do that. She doesn’t trust people as much as she used to, ya know?  They’ve let her down…so no way is she going to let that out of her hands without the proper protection and I don’t blame her either. She’s lookin for a publisher and they want her to send everything to them so they can see if they are interested—that was the clincher…

Poppy got home from the DUNGEON a half hour early and Mamaw didn’t even hear him come in the door! With the click, click, click and her total concentration bein on her project she was way too involved. He was so glad to be home; in his own house and with us. And Mamaw felt so sorry for him she decided to make dinner. It was breakfast tonight—ham, scrambled eggs, toast and lots of orange juice. He ate it all—she did end up givin me two little bitty bites of scrambled eggs. I was forever grateful—Poppy gave her “the look.”

I’m still just worn out from all the holidays so I put myself to bed at 8:30. Shortly after that Mamaw put herself to bed. I don’t know what time Poppy put himself to bed—he slept quite a while in the recliner. Don’t know what that guy would do without that! Hope tomorrow is a better day…
