Come on spring! We got cabin fever in our house—and that damned flu too! It’s getting to be about more than any of us can stand. We want to get up in the morning—ready to go, go, go. I’m not satisfied with the idea they don’t think they need to talk to the doctor about their “hackin” around all day and all night.
Miss Becky had Ozzie out later than usual today so Mamaw opened the door to say good morning and I RAN RIGHT OUT TO KISS HIM! Well, she said she isn’t going in to work until 4:30 p.m. so she would be with Oz for his first afternoon “poop break.” Mamaw and I will do the next one. Ozzie and I really did have a wonderful time this morning and frankly—let em be sick; I got my memories to hang on to.
Poppy was supposed to go to a visitation in Fonda today but he sure felt like somebody had run over him. I hope it wasn’t Mamaw…she did encourage him not to go though cause she didn’t feel like goin and helping him drive. He kept thinking he could make it but in the end he stayed home and spent some time on “our waterbed.” He takes the “clicker” and back and forth—back and forth till Mamaw and I have no idea what’s goin on with the TV so we lose interest. Let him sleep…
She got a haircut today—Poppy insisted on getting that done for her. And she looks really good too. He does a wonderful job on her and she’s always so appreciative. I thought maybe that meant we were goin someplace but no…not today they said.
We went to get Oz about 6:15 p.m. and got him out to do his thing. Then we brought him back to our house and he went right back to the bedroom with Poppy. I think I have to split my time cause he sure does love My Poppy. He stayed there even when Poppy got up for dinner. That’s okay—if he feels comfortable there just leave him..
Mamaw was cookin dinner when Miss Becky knocked on the door. She didn’t realize we were bringin the BIG BOY back to our house and she couldn’t find his leash so she came to retrieve him. I think she was pretty pleased that Mamaw and Poppy just let him roam around the house as he chooses.
New show she’s gonna watch tonight! Her friend, Lin, told her about Harry’s Law so we went back to bed (to that yummy waterbed) early cause she dragged that damned e-reader back with her and wanted to read until the show came on. We had a blast—did ya hear me?—WE HAD A BLAST! Sometime in the night the good time ended though—I was kenneled.

Hi, Scarlett!
ReplyDeleteMy mom took Ozzie for a walk at noon today (Tues.). She said when he got by your house he wanted to go to your door, but Mom wouldn't let him. She said he looked a real long time at your house, trying to see you, and Mom told him you would see him later on this afternoon, so he was happy about that.
Sorry to hear your Mawmaw and Poppy are having such a hard time feeling better. My Papa is finally better, but my Mom went to a sinus doctor yesterday who gave her some different antibiotics. She really liked him and said she hopes this does the trick. Mom and Papa keep talking about going to Joy's house next winter in south Texas. I don't know if I'll be able to go or not, since Matt doesn't like dogs in his house.
Nolan, who's 5, came over this morning to stay til his pre-school started at noon. Papa fixed him some macaroni and cheese, which he left on the table. When I got the chance, I jumped up and ate it all. Man, was that good! Mom laughed and called me a "dog". That hurt my feelings! Oh, oh--here she comes! Gotta go!
Love, Pepper
Yeah, me and Ozzie--well, we're in love, what can I tell ya. Mamaw had to go to the Wolfe Clinic today to have laser surgery so she couldn't get Mr. Oz out the first time today.
ReplyDeleteMamaw put in a call to the doctor--I just begged and begged until today she said she'd make the call. I hope he gives them some antibiotics too.
Wish you'd saved me some of that macaroni and cheese. All I get around here is DOG FOOD! Well, once in a while...a taste of carrot, lettuce, broccoli or drops to the floor. But I've never had a taske of that macaroni and cheese but it sure does sound good.
Can't wait for spring Pepper--we'll go for a walk. Mamaw still doesn't feel up to doin much of that.
