The sun hid behind a cloud today…it just wasn’t as much fun outside. So I kinda just come and go as potty breaks are “needed” and leave the rest behind. Poppy is home today and he is busy, busy, busy. He gets a little grumpy if Mamaw interrupts his work so we gotta be quiet today. I got to help with laundry though…but she keeps that “Eagle eye on me” in case I run with something. I gotta figure out a new way to do that cause she’s caught on to my ways.
Mamaw is determined to get “published” one way or another so she has worked all day on Chapter 15, putting photo collages together to go with our outings. She’s still tryin desperately to teach me about art and give me some school housin and book learnin but ya know what folks? I like me just the way Mamaw has trained me and just cause I don’t talk like I have a PhD in anything doesn’t matter to me cause I’ve got feelings and ideas just like the rest of ya got. And Mamaw and Poppy love me just the way I am so sorry about the spelling and use of sentences here—I just say what I’ve got to say and she allows me to be who I am.
We took Ozzie out again today and had a wonderful time. I’ve even thought about marryin the guy. Course he’s lots older than I am and has some health problems. And after all, he does live JUST NEXT DOOR…Mamaw says to forget it! She says I’m stayin right where I am…
Poppy fixed the very best pork chops with wild rice and applesauce. I wanted to be in the kitchen—ya know—hopin for a “drop of anything on the floor” but Mamaw and Poppy both directed me right to my rug and instructed me to lie down. I had to do it, ya know? But it’s hard to stay there as long as SHE wants me to and sometimes she has to re-direct me. The only darned good thing about that is I always get a SNAP treat…
I shoulda known—Poppy wants to watch another segment of that darned “TAKEN” mini-series so ya know what that means for me. I try to be patient but eventually I went over to the recliner where she was sittin and put my chin on the foot rest…I looked real sad too. Course I was tryin to get her to go to the waterbed but she ignored me…time and time again…she ignored me. I even went so far as to go back there by myself and stay a while—she didn’t come lookin for me so I just knew that wasn’t goin to work. I went in and out of my kennel 2 TIMES—that didn’t work either. I finally just went there and stayed. But guess what? She didn’t close my door for the night! And after they were done watchin that crazy thing she headed for the waterbed. You can bet I was right behind her…happy as a lark!
We fell asleep—she must have been tired from workin out on the exercise bike cause I worked and worked at getting her awake. I wanted her to take me to bed…she was so tired I had to jump down off the bed and go behind her. In the living room I just sort of looked at her for direction (as if I didn’t know what she wanted me to do) and she put her hand lightly on my bottom and guided me in for the night. I love it when she does that…Life is good! Night all—don’t let the bedbugs bite!
