It is Sunday so Poppy will work today. I got a real surprise! Mamaw took me for one of our abbreviated walks (it is so cold) and then looked at part of the paper. I LOVE THE PAPER! And I am tall enough now to reach up and grab a corner of it but she says no. Anyway, she grabbed towels and began filling the tub with water. I am getting a bath—with shampoo! Mamaw was very gentle and talked lovingly to me all along the way. She used the same clear plastic glass she uses to put water in my container so I wouldn’t be afraid. Isn’t she good to me? We had a lot of fun and she got almost as wet as I did. Then she helped me out of the tub onto a towel and had Poppy come in and use the hair dryer on low. Now I know why she has been turning it towards me every time she fixed her hair. Well, I put up with it for a while and then I wanted to be finished with it so she took the towel to the living room and rolled me up in it while rubbing me dry. We just had a ton of laughs.
I’m disappointed about the EXILE room. I wanted in there but she isn’t giving in to me. She thinks if she invites me in from time to time, I will learn to release the clothing item (I love the socks!) quickly and she won’t have to chase me. She keeps telling me she doesn’t want to chase me—it makes her tired.
Mamaw came out of THE EXILE room looking really good! I think she intends to leave me again. I love her perfume… And she is reading the paper—I love the paper. Oh and the Kleenex, I love it too! Enough of that; I’m back in the kennel and she is leaving for sure. She is getting the car started and gathering things up. Well, I suppose I can take a nap and tear into them when they get home!
Poppy is home. We played ball and he tells me how pretty his little redhead is. I love my special time alone with each of them. Maybe it’s selfish but I just love hearing all of those wonderful things they say to me. It’s getting late and no Mamaw. It has begun to snow and Poppy wonders where she is. Finally she called and said she and her friends were having so much fun, they didn’t even know it had begun to snow. She assures him she is on her way home but she is driving sensibly. It was really late when she got home but she came to the kennel and let me out. We went outside but I just stuck my nose in the snow and really didn’t have to go. There’s more snow there now than when Poppy took me out to play in it. I get a really HUGE loving and back to bed with me.
