December 24, 2009 (Christmas Eve)

The TOOTH FAIRY CAME! I was disappointed—I kinda figured I’d get something really special but all I got was a nice white dish with dog bones and treats in it. I sort of suspect that Mamaw and Poppy are the tooth fairy, and the weather wasn’t worth a darn yesterday so they just didn’t get out to get me something more interesting. Well, Poppy says I have more toys than most puppies do and Mamaw gave him one of those “you gotta be kidding me” looks.

She’s been busy again. The snow and the ice has built up about 7” on the evergreen hedges and she could tell it was weighing them down in the middle cause of the weight. So she’s been outside patiently scooping the shaking the snow off as it continues to rain today.

She laid down on her bed for a while and invited me to lay down with her. I just love that EXILE room! You know she keeps me out of there as much as possible cause I get carried away in there. But on her bed this morning, I just rolled and kissed and loved her up good (I’m trying to soften her up for the next time she says EXILE to me.)

We haven’t even gone for a ride to look at the Christmas lights this year. It has snowed, iced or fogged us in each night so we just stay home. Mamaw said, “I thought this was supposed to be an El Nino year.” Then she and Poppy laugh…private joke I guess or I’m just not big enough yet to understand it.

I haven’t eaten well at all today and Mamaw has been kind of grumpy so I think she doesn’t fell terrific either. We haven’t had any excitement here either. Everybody is just sort of quiet…

Okay, I have to admit I’ve been a Holy Terror today. I don’t really think Mamaw or Poppy want to be around me when I am like this! So it appears I’ve been ‘IN LOCKUP’ for the rest of the evening. Boy, I hope tomorrow is better for me.
