Funeral day – up very early. Mamaw was in the kitchen making coffee when Poppy woke up. I thought it was kinda different to go out the garage door to go potty but I soon found out why. My feet just went right out from under me! And my ears just flopped around—Wow! Mamaw said it was ICY. Not going to like this at all. She won’t let me go very far (I think cause she doesn’t want to fall on her butt again). They got their coffee and tea and away they went to get ready. Pretty soon it is hair time—she always turns the hair dryer on me. I don’t mind it so much now but I do try to bite at it. Then all of the “trimmings” go on too. I know by then they are ready to leave. She doesn’t want to be a walking target for me and she hates to be after me all of the time. I’m getting under her skin…
They didn’t make it to Jefferson. The weather was so bad with icy roads and blowing snow. They got half-way there and turned around and came home. I know it was important for Mamaw to go tell her sister a final goodbye, but it didn’t happen that way. At least when they walked in the door Mamaw’s eyes were not all red and swollen. I’m hope we are over that!
I’m being really pretty bad today. I need a walk and the weather just isn’t cooperating. I want to play with Ozzie—nobody is cooperating there either. I saw him out briefly but Becky and Mamaw wouldn’t let us play. So, Mamaw says she is in no mood to deal with biting and chewing today—may be a kennel day. Well it was pretty much a kennel day but this evening she let me out and we played and played. I finally settled down and started in on my rope chew and it felt so good!
