It is Mamaw and Poppy’s 8th anniversary today! He gave her a card—hug, hug and hug; kiss, kiss and kiss. Then she gave Poppy his card—more of the hug, hug and hug; kiss, kiss and kiss stuff. They are so sweet together.
My day started out quite good. Although I was a disappointment to Mamaw when she wanted to walk at 8:30. I stopped every little bit and refused to go on. Should would tug at me to “come” but I ignored her. Finally after four of those episodes, she decided we’d better turn around and come home. Actually, I think she is afraid the neighbors might think she is MEAN and turn her into Pet Control. I’m not sure I’m feeling very well today—haven’t really been in need of food today and yesterday I ate very little. We’ll wait and see…
Deb from Bark Busters called. Mamaw told her she couldn’t do training today because it is their anniversary today—8 years! Well, she has lots of errands to run today. And, in addition to that, Poppy found a couple of Thunderbird cars that he thinks Mamaw might need. So, there’s lots of things going on right now…
We did take a walk—the weather is extraordinarily beautiful out today. I did my lying down trick again a couple of times but she made me take the walk anyway. It wasn’t bad once I got my rhythm. I suppose she’ll find time to drag me around a couple more times today!
She went shopping and came home in a “hell bent for election” mood. She attached my leash and said, “Come on Scarlett, let’s go for a walk.” Alright lady—let’s do go for a walk! I laid down three times and absolutely refused to obey her. If she thinks she can just come around and then decide to haul me around, she’s crazy. I don’t feel like walking today…
Mamaw got all “gussied up” and decided we would try the walk ONE MORE TIME TODAY. I do not feel like walking, but I went outside with her so I could potty. When she started into the walk—I dug my nails in. I think she finally got the drift so technically—we’ve only walked once today.
Poppy is taking Mamaw out tonight—a few drinks and dinner. I think that is sooooo sweet! And, I may not mind it as much since I really don’t feel up to par. When they got home we all had a love fest on the couch. That was about as sweet as it gets.
