It is killing me to see Mamaw with her swollen, red eyes. I try to play with her and she is trying not to cry but Poppy and I can see. Sunday and Monday are going to be bad for her! I know she has to shop today—wish she didn’t have to. And Poppy is at work and has to stay late tonight—they are all getting their picture taken for a new brochure that will be coming out soon at Huseman Eye Care.

She started in on the STAY again today. Poppy thinks the light bulb has gone “ON” with her exercise of keeping me on my rug. She hooked me up again and I tried very hard cause I like those liver treats she gives me. They both praised me and that makes me happy to know I have pleased them.

The house is way to quiet. Mamaw isn’t playing—isn’t talking. I’m lonely! Then she leaves to shop and doesn’t come back for 3 hours! We got to go back outside and play some more though. It is hard for her to walk cause remember she fell on her butt yesterday on our walk. I’ll be good!

All of my play things have gotten voices. They talk to me and encourage me to play with them. They tell me not to bite Mamaw—kind of a strange thing. The first one to talk of course was Froggy. I’ve had her since I got here at 6 weeks. She sleeps with me at night and keeps me company if I wake up. Well, I thought it was just fine if Froggy talked to me so I was enjoying that. But the rest have come forward now—Old Red and Plaid. We really have some good times together and allows Mamaw to be on the computer, in the kitchen, cleaning or washing laundry. Sometimes though, I just need her to stop whatever she is doing to play with me. She does…
