I woke up at 6:00 again this morning. Mamaw asked Poppy to see to me for a while and she went back to bed. I think she was pretty restless in the night—I kept hearing moaning. Finally by 7:30 I was ready for her to be up and at it. I went back to the bedroom door and begged—she finally answered and came out dressed for the day.

Gosh, we went on a lovely walk with that special collar from Bark Busters. It gives me a “correction” by way of noise when I try to walk ahead or get behind Mamaw. It went pretty well today with the exception the lawn people are out mowing through the leaves and I kinda loose track of what we are doing.

Later this early afternoon, we were outside and a man was running down the sidewalk. I BARKED for the first time! I don’t know where that came from but Mamaw corrected me right away. I suppose that will be something else I will be hearing BAAAA over so I might as well get used to it.

Our second walk really went well. Mamaw kept telling me “good girl” so we just kept moving along. I was really tired when we got back though and required a nap. Mamaw was busy doing other things as I slept. Then Poppy got home with the groceries. His cell phone died yesterday so he had to go see about that and she talked him into doing the shopping. She was really nice when he got home and put all the groceries away and made them each a sandwich for lunch.

After lunch, Poppy went to lie down in the bedroom—she closed the door. He has had a lovely quiet time. I’ve slept on and off but whenever Mamaw gets up to move, I insist on going with her. The STAY command hasn’t gotten through to me yet.

The new time has sent my head spinning! I am going to bed an hour earlier than I have in the past. I hope this will wear off in a little while for Mamaw’s sake. She doesn’t want to get up that early!
