There is gonna be lots of computer work today—she’s warned me. Those pictures she wants on the blog are driving her crazy. I think she’s gonna spend mega time on the phone with her friend Lin to try to figure something out.

Poor Poppy—working again today! Don’t tell me he’s gonna go back to work full time? I miss him when he’s gone and when he walked out the door this morning I begged to go too. Mamaw said, “Come Scarlett, I’ll take you for a ride.” I didn’t hesitate—I was ready. She got all of her clippings from bushes and weeds she’s pulled and put in garbage bags and we drove to Polk City where you can dump that stuff. They grind it all up to make mulch Mamaw said. It was a lovely ride—she opened that top of the car up and we just took our time. While she drives, she pets me or runs her fingers through my hair and let me tell you; I love that!

I just know I got the ride cause Mamaw is goin to see Miss Betty. She’s not gonna take me there cause their dog, Tess, has been there for 18 years and thinks she owns the joint! Mamaw doesn’t want Tess to feel bad so I’m stuck in the kennel. But—when she came back, she had a new scarf for me. She went to Jordan Creek and told on me there too! I suppose she’ll post it in the newspaper next. Anyway, she came home with a new collar, a size smaller and she’s happy (I am too but I didn’t want that story to get around town).

She called the vet—I think it is LOCKUP tomorrow. I don’t see any REAL evidence but I am suspecting something. I suppose I gotta be punished for my wrong doin…Rhett Butler—where are you when I need you?

Burgers on the grill—they smell so good and I didn’t get a taste. Mamaw keeps sayin, “Go eat your own food Scarlett—it’s in the kitchen.” Uh huh…I find myself slinking off to be alone more and more. I gotta get a grip on this who attitude of mine or I could be in permanent trouble with the family.
