I’m feelin sorry for Mamaw this morning—she has a terrible winter cold. She’s kind of grouchy but not—if you know what I mean? She is SLOW movin at any rate. Poppy is in the shower getting ready for work when she finally drags her butt out of bed. I think it’s gonna be a long day…

But wait a minute! Mamaw is grabbin up her IPod Shuffle and getting my poop bag and water bottle so I think we’re gonna walk. It is just such a lovely day so I’m glad she feels like goin. Hope it is a nice walk and not just a “let me pacify Miss Scarlett” walk. Well, it was a nice walk indeed. We went on the people trail and then when I headed for the house coming back, she corrected me and we walked around the circle too! Maybe that will make ya feel better now Mamaw. Well it got her motivated anyway…

She ran the vacuum cleaner and picked up the house—it seems like she’s been runnin the dishwasher a lot lately. And she washed their sheets and put them back on (I was in EXILE over that deal). When she came out of the room, she closed the door on me but not before I spotted a beautiful hand-embroidered quilt on the bed with two lacy pillows. I wanted to go in and see (well, really I wanted to roll around on it) but Mamaw said no. She had the nerve to tell me she didn’t want red hair all over it cause it is cream color. I can only go in when invited cause the quilt has to be pulled back for protection. Good God—what next? Then she explained to me that she bought this quilt at her sister’s garage sale (she’s dead ya know) so it is all about memories. In fact, Mamaw said that she and Darold and Rita were vacationing together in BellaVista, AK when she bought that quilt. She never used it—Mamaw doesn’t know why.

She’s doin laundry every day now that she’s doin Betty’s too. She has it folded and ready to go back to her but with that cold Poppy told her she should stay away. Well, Mamaw feels bad cause she know Miss Betty won’t have company today—tomorrow is the BIG WEDDING!
