Today is different too! Miss Cathy stayed in bed until 9:00 a.m. Mamaw had gotten her shower, dressed and done her hair and makeup and was just going downstairs to see what was up when up came Miss Cathy. She told Mamaw and Poppy she’d been downstairs reading her new book.

Alright, what is everybody doing today? Mamaw said, “I am meeting Dodi at noon for lunch and then I am going to Fountain West to visit Miss Betty.” She invited Cathy to go with her if she wanted to. Poppy had some ideas of his own and offered to take her to Valley Junction and then out to lunch. She decided to spend the time with Poppy.

Mamaw got to see Max as he was going into the PetSmart in Ankeny for his bath and grooming. She says she can’t get over how long is nose is. (chuckle, chuckle) So they had their private time and then off to see Betty. Miss Betty is havin a little trouble getting used to the new place so Mamaw spent some extra time tryin to cheer her up.

And when she got home, we all got around and piled in the car—we’re on the road again—to Fort Dodge! Yep, Miss Cathy has to get home—she’s on jury duty for the month of July. Mamaw was so impressed with the fact that such a young gal would be called to serve—she has never been called. Well Poppy said, “Maybe you should consider yourself lucky.”

Along the trip Miss Cathy slept. Guess Mamaw and Poppy wore her out too—it just took a little longer. (smile) The trip was uneventful cause I slept a lot too! And when we got to the edge of Fort Dodge, Miss Cathy sent a text message home and Regina is sick! Oh my God! Is that going around? Well, it’s a bad summer cold…I think Mamaw has it too. Poppy helped Cathy in the house with her stuff and we just headed straight back home. We’re tired and we’ll just grab what we can find at home and call it a day.

And that’s just exactly what we did. It was an uneventful day—but a good day. The sun was shining and it wasn’t as hot. No walks today though…I ate better Mamaw said. Okay—all you blog friends and family—I’ll be seein you tomorrow. Don’t let the bedbugs bite!
