I told Mamaw right away this morning that she has not given out the information I want my furry friends to have about my new collar. While Miss Cathy was here and she was shopping at Jordan Creek Town Center, she ran across this JUST DOGS Gourmet place and was visiting with the gal that runs it there. Well, in the process they were talking about my beautiful red hair and how I get so hot on our walks. The lady showed her a collar—filled with little beads. She said, “You soak it in cold water for about five minutes and then wring it out and put it on Miss Scarlett—she will enjoy her walk!” We’ve used it 2 times and Mamaw says its a KEEPER so if ya wanta look at them go to www.CoolBandanas.com. Mamaw paid $6.95 and they come in small, medium and large. Now—Poppy has to work today so Mamaw says we’re gonna get ready for our morning walk. Yes, she’s soakin the collar as I speak…

And away we go…what a wonderful morning. It is just slightly spitting rain and we’re on the move. Mamaw has learned that when we get to the end of the block and turn to go on the trail that she needs to release my leash a little for “smellin and poopin.” After that’s all done; we’re ready to go again. She is so pleased with me cause I’m doin so much better. I still get a little skittish but so much, much better. We been workin on it together.

Towels got washed and dryed today. Other than that it’s been an office day. Mamaw says she’s gotten behind again. (If you would ask Poppy, he would tell you she has bitten off more than she can chew again—but I’m not goin there).

She’s showered and cleaned up and complainin about how bad she needs a haircut. And Poppy, (her haircutter person) is working all week and then going to his class reunion (50 years)—now that’s a long time. I’m not talking about college here though; it’s high school. She says she won’t go if she can’t get a haircut so we’ll see what happens with that! If she goes I think that means I gotta go to the Ashworth Animal kennel place for a couple of days—paw-lease don’t go Mamaw—Paw-lease stay home with me!!!

And Poppy is lookin at the new printer—tryin to figure THAT out. Mamaw ran out of printin stuff this morning on the scanner/printer so she had to go buy some. Before she went there she said she was gonna go see Miss Betty and the last thing was to get groceries. It was pouring rain so hard after she got the cartridge, she came right home. She said, “Scarlett, there is NO WAY I am going grocery shopping when it is pouring cats and dogs (a pun?) She hung around a while and it almost stopped so off she went again. I feel like I have kennel-itis with all the ins and outs there today. She bought frozen food for Becky and Cully but they aren’t around yet so we’ll have to deliver it later. She’s a good ole soul—likes to help people and show her love for them. I appreciate that about her…Mamaw just wasn’t satisfied until Becky got home so she could get those groceries to her. Ya know, I’m always wondering how two people can eat so much food? Well, maybe they don’t—think about that!

Workin on the new printer now; hope to see it finished soon. Mamaw is getting anxious to print some pictures of me (smile). Other than that—dinner is over and we’re tired so why don’t we all just relax? Hey—tomorrow is Tuesday already; and, I have no idea what Mamaw will be up to. Bet it will be a surprise, surprise.
