Sunday morning…Poppy goes to work…I don’t know what Mamaw has up her sleeve. We did a terrific walk and I’m so proud of myself cause I only “pulled” 3 times. I couldn’t go off leash though cause on the bike trail they had all kinds of people up there—big and little, young and old. That’s okay—Mamaw let me have some le-way on my leash so I was deprived of getting my “smells.” And I’m ever so grateful that she no longer expects me to walk as far as she does. I can do the mile thing but that’s all I wanta do.
After her shower today, Mamaw came out of the bedroom lookin pretty funky. And jewelry up the ying-yang. I think she’s goin someplace and I asked if I could go too—the answer, of course, was NO. I suppose you could say her outing was a success cause she came home smiling and everythin.

Mamaw was so tired after her 2fers we just stayed home all day. She got caught up on some stuff she really needed to get done and found out some things weren’t as she thought they were. So we’re just keeping busy today.
She did walk me and brought me back—I was awfully good. And then she walked Ozzie for the neighbors cause they are gonna have company a little later.
She wrote and wrote and wrote yesterday—almost with a frenzy. Well she put together this one article for the Chicken Soup For the Soul series. I thought that was a worthy cause so I left her alone to get that done.
She went for a really, really long walk all by herself just before the Notre Dame game. When she got back, we sat and loved each other on the couch and watched most of the game. Notre Dame won 23-17—I sure hope they are gonna get better. Mamaw gets a bit disgusted with em.
The evening was a wipeout. Mamaw was in the bedroom early to watch her shows so I went with her and when it was time for me to go get in my kennel—I didn’t want to, but I did.

Poppy is home AGAIN TODAY! I hope he’ll take us for another ride in his big car—with the top open! Then Mamaw asks him what his plans are for the day and he was “evasive” whatever that means. She told him she just hated it when he gave her that kind of answer. So he asked her what SHE was going to do. She said, “Go to Nevada to meet up with Emily for lunch—and then a few other things while I’m up that way.” Poppy told her to just go ahead and go—he would be available for the Mediacom technician.
And so while she was getting “all duded up AGAIN,” he went to the grocery store. She was right there to help him get the groceries put away and then she had to go. She promised me a walk when she got home, just like yesterday. She keeps her promises to me too!

Poppy is home today—maybe we can just spend the day together! Mamaw got me taken care of and fixed herself a cup of hot tea and sat to enjoy it. Then Poppy asked what her plans were for the day and she said she was goin to take her sister, Mary to lunch in Carroll—at the Winery! That mean’s “she’s leavin us” in any language!
She shut us both out of the bedroom while she got ready and when she came out—she was dressed “to the 9’s.” Poppy said, “Well, you look nice.” If I were him, I would have said, “Listen Lady, you aren’t going out of the house looking that GOOD,” and that would have been the end of that story! Better be nice though—she’s home a lot and takes really good care of me so I can’t complain.

Life is normal around here again—thank the good Lord for that! I have no idea what is gonna happen today but I’m lookin forward to all of it.
Mamaw got Ozzie to come out in the yard and took me out too so we were able to spend some valuable time together. I’m in love with the guy, ya know? The weather was so pretty we just layed out there in the sun and soaked it up while Mamaw sanded and sanded again. Nice, nice, nice. And then Jessie came along and entertained Ozzie and me for a while—that was nice too.

Mamaw is well—Halleluiah! We’re gonna get it on today I can tell ya. We’re already on our second load of laundry and we’ve had a wonderful walk—it’s only 11:30 a.m.
Well, this new apparatus is good for both of us…I got to go off leash for a while too. The walk was so enjoyable she says we may do it again this afternoon. But she’s got errands to run and errands to “finish up”—whatever that means. (I think it means she missed a copy of pictures she wanted the other day and now wants to go back and get them before she unloads the camera). And she’s got a sister who is gonna have a birthday in a few day and she needs to pick up her gift. Oh, and don’t forget the bank—she’s gotta inside today so I can’t go but that’s okay. The walk has relaxed me so I’ll just lie in my kennel (with the new blue pad Poppy got me) and take a nap.

Well, well, well—things are different around here today! I guess they decided to quit having runny noses and get up and do something!
Mamaw had read in the paper about some bronze art at the Urbandale Library park area so she gathered together “most of the house” and off we went. We got to walk in the park and take photos too. The bronze piece was a Grandpa and it looked like his grand daughter cause they seemed to really have a good relationship. It is just a lovely sight to behold and we enjoyed our time there so much. We’ll need to research this so we can tell ya about it.
