Is there anybody out there that wonders whether I died or even worse--stopped posting to my blog? Mamaw hasn't taken the time to do that since Christmas Eve for heaven's sake! So I had a decision to make.
Let me set up the story for you...Poppy had to go to Atlanta, GA for 4 days--without use. Oh, we wanted to go, but they don't have "dog friendly" hotels. Personally I thought that was kind of rude. I am a good guest. I don't bark or make a mess in the room...I just want to be where Mamaw and Poppy are. Okay, so off he went.
Mamaw shared that she was going to do some soul searching those 4 days. She know she has way too much on her plate to be very effective with anything. So, it was pretty quiet around here...3 days later she called her bestie, Lin, and had a "come to Jesus" meeting...She feels better now. So she and Lin worked a whole day on putting together a BELLA VINO Facebook page that will interact with the website. She tole Lin she's too old to learn html and wouldn't possibly live long enough...so with their heads together--this was the solution. I stayed out of things until after Sunday night when we went to the airport to pick him up.
It was raining--freezing on our windshield. Mamaw wasn't in any big hurry cause she wanted me to be safe too! She pulls up outside the luggage return and we waited. I kept my eyes and ears on those great big doors for a long time...and then suddenly, I saw this little gray haired guy lugging a huge black suitcase and I looked right at Mamaw I was so excited. She said, "Yes Scarlett, there's our Poppy." I couldn't wait for him to get in the car, cause I'm sittin on his lap all the way home!
It was a real love fest...Mamaw drove.
Okay--now there's Mamaw doin her own thing and Poppy doing his own thing, but what about my own thing. Monday morning I had my own "come to Jesus" meeting with Mamaw and we had it out!!! She apologized and said it wouldn't happen again...we'll see.
