Woke up this morning early--Mamaw usually stays in bed. I sneak off the bed and go to 'my rug' and wait cause I know Poppy won't let me starve to death. Mamaw--now she's another story--she wants to feed me on HER SCHEDULE. I finished eatin and went outside to do my thing, and when Poppy released me, I ran as fast as I could and jumped up on the bed tryin to get Mamaw awake. She laid there awhile and rubbed my belly so I forgave her for everything.
We got up and she got dressed. Before long she's got me hooked up and out those big doors downstairs. I'm not crazy about goin for a walk today so instead I did "my business" thinkin we'd go back in the house...WRONG! I stopped a number of times but I could see she wasn't gonna give in to me so we walked. Lots of kids runnin around the playground makin so much noise I wanted to scream...and go home. But no, she drags me along not givin a hoot about my feelins. About that time, I picked up a scent I liked and the world was alright again! We're so hot and sweaty when we get home, Mamaw wets down a hand towel and drapes it over my back to help cool me off--it felt wonderful!
I had cooled down and was havin a wonderful nap when the doorbell rang. I jumped off the couch and started barkin to let Mamaw know somebody was at the door. She opened the door and there stood a lady that smelled just like Mr. Dallas next door! I liked her even before Mamaw introduced her to me as Rene from the school place she's been talkin to Poppy about sendin me. She came in and sat on the couch and I went over and snuggled up to her! Now here I was all worried about goin back to school and this lady is really very nice to me.
They talked about me going there next Monday at 7:00 a.m.--good grief--Mamaw isn't even up yet! She tole Miss Rene she would have me there though--and without breakfast cause of my nervous stomach. Ya don't think she's gonna starve me to death do ya? Well anyway, I'm not near as worried as I was when I first heard about this place and what will go on at that school but I'm gonna let ya know after my first time there what I think of it...please wish me luck?
