April 24, 2012 The continuing saga of Miss Scarlett O'Hara


I got a lot to get ya all updated on what has been goin on around here...it's kinda scary and I'm not sure I like it. All of a suddent, Mamaw is leavin me alone lots--but I don't have to go into the kennel; she let's me have run of the house!

Mama found a "miracle cure" for that terrible foot problem and has treatments 2 days a week. We are able to go on our walks again and I can't tell ya how happy that makes me! Not 4 miles--just half a mile. I think she wants to build up the mileage as she feels she can.

I've been an extremely good girl. I rarely bark so she likes that. Our neighbor, Miss Becky, whose hubby died 2 years ago has a brand new puppy. I can smell when he is outside and I make a fuss so I can go out and see him. Only problem is, he's a puppy, so I just put up with him. I'll be really, really happy when he decides to settle down a little. He moves so fast he scares me...

Mama has been calling around doggy daycare centers...now--that IS SCARY! She tells em I'm very well mannered but our house just isn't busy enough to get me socialized to feel real comfortable around the other dogs. She keeps tellin me, "Go smell the butt--then you'll know who he/she is". Isn't that a dycotomy? She has preached and preached about my lineage and that I have a lot to live up to. I can't figure out if it's alzheimers or what. I'm just trying to stay out of trouble.

Next time I talk to ya, I'm gonna tell ya all about the horrible fall/winter it was around here with all the remodelin. So don't forget to check back and see what the heck is goin on...and I'd love ta hear from ya all...leave a comment please?

    Hi Miss Scarlet.

    It's so good to "see" you here again. And although you have some anxiety about the kennel and daycare, just remember that maw maw's doing these things for your own good, always. You'll do just fine...really.

    I'm glad maw maw's feeling well enuff to do a few things like her old self again. She's been through a lot & you're a good girl for keepin' a steady watch on her. I'll check back with you soon to see how it's going. luv ya, lin

    Oh my gosh, pretty girl....Mamaw just tole me about your post here. Good ta see ya too. I'm tryin so hard to be good but sometimes she just pushes me over the edge, ya know?
