She has housework to do today—and laundry. Gotta get caught up with all that stuff! And don’t forget running to the bank and getting some groceries. Oh, my God, she’s back at the bookstore buying ANOTHER DOG BOOK! Mother Knows Best – I can’t decide which method of training I am more opposed to…it is all just going to be torture.
Because the BOOK says I need a special area to go potty, She has been outside with hedge trimmers, trimming a spot of grass short enough for me to do my “thing.” Cars were going by honking and waving and saying, “way to go” and she just kept right on task. One of the busiest streets in West Des Moines but does she care? I don’t think so, she wants to do everything by the BOOK.

- Since 1982 I have wanted to write a book. But it was never possible for me to dedicate myself to writing so I pushed it aside. Permanent retirement caught up with me in March 2010. I began writing that novel and it is finished; now in its 4th editing. And during that time, I've become selfish about having it published. You see, it is a true story--MATCH.COM--and much too intimate to share with the masses. It is being held back for family and friends to enjoy at the proper time. And as previously mentioned, Miss Scarlett came into our lives at just the right time to completely enjoy her. She had a voice in this house from the very beginning and wanted to share feelings from her point of view from the beginning--I gave her that audience. Then she decided to take a break for nearly a year--she is back folks!
Oh, but Scarlett!! You can't deny that you ended up enjoying that attention you got with the training!! All that attention was on you, you, you. And like you, that was all important to your namesake!! AND, you are such a smart puppy -- for YOU it was easy. I'll be seeing you and your mom when the weather is better for a nice walk and you'll learn even more!! Until then, keep your paws warm -
