Our days are sure filled with purpose—we got more work to do than we can handle! Mamaw did stay in bed till 8:00 a.m. though and then hopped right into the shower. Then Poppy went to get around and he let me in the bedroom. That bed you know—I LOVE IT! Well, when it was time to leave the bedroom I wouldn’t go with Poppy. I showed him the ugly lip and Mamaw was furious. She came running and gave me two choices: leave the bedroom or the kennel—bad dog, to the kennel I go. God, I just hate that! Why can’t they just leave me alone? I’m not a bad dog but I do get into mischief from time to time. After my EXILE, I managed to get my hands on my favorite bedroom pillow and drag it to the living room. Now

Between Poppy and Mamaw it has been quite a morning! Mamaw has such aches and pains today she could be kind of grumpy. Poppy has called the pharmacy to order some refills and I’m trying to be good. That stint in the kennel wasn’t at all what I wanted today. She sort of pissed me off so when we went on a walk, I took my own sweet time. I pulled and yanked and just tried to get back at her for treating me the way she did.

And it looks like there is going to be another run to the hospital this afternoon. And Poppy needs to run to Toyota to get a little clamp. I knew when she grabbed my collar I was in trouble—kennel time. Well, at least not for being bad! I dislike THAT the most.

I just had time for a nap and they are back. Mamaw decides to take me for another walk only this time she grabbed the yard stick. Not to spank me with—to hold in front of my nose if I get too far ahead of her. I sort of had to laugh though—the wind was so strong the yard stick kept bowing. On the trail we saw two big Labradors but they were off leash. Mamaw made us turn around right now and head back. I wanted to go play but she said, “Scarlett, that’s one of the first things a dog owner learns—never try to socialize your dog with others unless you are all leashed or all off leash. Well I guess that made sense.

Poppy got the grill fixed for Mamaw today—and he cooked a steak on it tonight! Boy oh boy was she happy! Dinner being finished, Mamaw went to my travel bag and began to load it up. Are we going somewhere? Tonight? What’s up? And then she hand feeds me cause she wants to brush me—and my teeth. I smell something goin on here—I just don’t know what yet. I don’t think we’re goin tonight after all—she’s got the vacuum out and it’s sure taking her a long time to get finished.

Oh my God! She’s going into the office to work some more. Is she ever going to be able to relax? I worry that she tries to do too much. I really need to talk to Poppy about that and see what he thinks. He’s so smart I know he’ll have the answer.
